Scott T. Roosa, PE is in the geotechnical engineering services group. He is skilled in developing geotechnical scope of services, and managing and performing geotechnical evaluations. Joining our SME’s Kalamazoo office in February 2018, his expertise includes publicly funded transportation projects with geotechnical involvement ranging from bridge foundations, earthen embankments, earth retention systems, dams, slide corrections, and pavement design. Scott has experience performing pressuremeter and pile driving analyzer (PDA) testing. He also has experience installing and monitoring geotechnical instrumentation such as piezometers, inclinometers, and vibrating wire multi-point extensometers on transportation, development, and tunneling projects.

With more than 14 years of experience, Scott is a licensed engineer in Indiana and Michigan. He holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Scott is a member of the American Society of Engineers (ASCE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). He is a Past President of the ASCE Younger Members Group, Past Director of the ASCE Indiana Section Geotechnical Group, and a graduate of the ACEC Indiana Engineering Leadership Program.

In addition to his active work schedule, Scott loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and coaching little league baseball/softball.
