Co-op and Internship Programs

Welcome, Triangle Students! Come kick-start your career
with SME.

Each year in May, approximately 40 enterprising students join the ranks of SME’s co-op program.

As a co-op, you will be SME’s representative at construction projects. Our co-ops perform various site observations and testing related to soils, concrete and asphalt, and are an important part of the project team. You’ll gain additional responsibilities and opportunities as your knowledge grows.

SME’s co-op assignments last from mid-May through late November or early December. It’s a serious commitment and significant investment in your future … and SME will make it worth it!

No matter where you are in your college journey, if you have an interest in one of the following technical services and are looking to take your learning to the next level, we want to hear from you!
