This program is prepares you for a career in engineering consulting practices through daily, hands-on opportunities in geotechnical, structural, environmental, or facilities and infrastructure engineering. You’ll get to work with top professionals in consulting practice and receive a fantastic benefits package along the way.
You’ll learn more than you thought possible about consulting engineering and apply your coursework to practical challenges. SME’s Master’s Student Summer Internship program requires availability to work from mid-May through mid-August. This length of time allows you to learn and grow in areas vital for establishing your career.
Once you’ve worked as an intern, you’ll get preferential consideration for subsequent summer internships and full-time opportunities upon graduation. Many former SME interns are recognized leaders within our organization today. It’s a great way to get your foot in the door with one of the most reputable consulting firms in the Great Lakes region.
