Sara Bals Appointed as SME’s Environmental Services Chief Consultant

We are pleased to announce Sara Bals, EIT as the Chief Consultant for our Environmental Services group.  In her expanded role, Sara will continue to lead our Site Assessment and Remediation Discipline while serving as the Group’s chief technical leader. SME’s chief-level technical professionals work within their technical service area to maintain and elevate the technical aspects of project deliverables, provide oversight and guidance to the quality control and assurance processes, provide guidance and leadership related to local, state and federal regulations, and use their technical expertise to develop and mentor the team around them.

Sara noted, “I am honored by this appointment. It feels like I took a rather unconventional path at SME but ended up exactly where I was meant to be, which is exciting.
